Lighten my stubborn hair?

I have tried to lighten my medium brown hair several times with at home color, and it never works. I have used Garnier 100% color in medium natural blonde, and it did nothing. How can I actually make a change in my hair color?

Lighten my stubborn hair?

The color you used was probably too close to your normal color. Try a lighter shade or use a kit to add hi-lites. Leave the product on for 10 minutes longer than the suggested time.

You can go to a salon and they will first remove all the old hair color and start over with new, but this will cost more.

If you like doing it at home, try a new brand of coloring. I have colored my hair at home for many years and find that the coloring on the package usually ends up darker, so I buy a lighter shade than I really want and it turns out fine. I like L'oreal brand. Be sure to use the conditioner that comes with the color and use color safe shampoo.

I realize it may cost a little more, but you should go to a salon have a professional do it, at least this way, if it doesn't color, you'll get your money back...

Bleach is the best solution. Jerome Russel stuff works well it lightened my dark brown hair.

Then put whatever colour you want on it.

Damages your hair though.
