I know some girls with brown hair who go for the slightly off-tint light brown streaks, and those are muy bueno. Or even slight streaks of blonde can look good if they aren't overpowering.

If you want a more natural look, stick with the caramel colored highlights.

If you like the lightness of the ones you've gotten before, you have to have the stylist put in a toner, or you can go out on your own and buy some violet shampoo. That will help control the brassiness.

Another good thing to try, is to go to a place that has the small clip in hair pieces. They should have a few varieties of blondes or other colors, that you can try on, and/or purchase, and take to the salon and have them match it.
