I like your hair the way it is, personally, but you seem to have a pretty face, and I think a medium emo cut would look great on you!

Keep in mind, though, that you always have other options such as dyeing it, highlights, or a different cut style ie more layers, etc. It's always good to keep your options open.

Well I thin it really depends on your lifestyle. If you're an active person on the go and can't really spend the time on your hair, then ask your stylist for a cut that requires very little maintainence. But if you're able to do spend more time on your hair, talk to your stylist and she can set you up with a more intricate dew. Good luck!

I just cut off 9 inches of my hair. It was originally about 15 inches long, so it is just above my shoulders. It's horrible. It is frizzy (it was to begin with). ok so i just go my hair cut and it's layered. the longest layers are barely to my shoulders and my shortest layers are about to my chin. i'm going to camp this summer and we can't really wash our hair until thursday morning (we get on the bus to go there on monday afternoon). and my hair gets oily really easily so it tends to smell after about 35 hours. it doesn't smell as bad though when it is up. what hairstyles can i do with my type of hair while we're there? oh and what hair products (shampoo/cond./etc.) can help keep my hair clean for a longer time and smell better?

I decided to go to a dark natural brown. I had some regrowth showing when I decided to color but I thought that it would all come out the same color. What ended up happening was my regrowth turned red and it did not effect the black. What can I do to fix this?

The bad news is you have to remove some color....the good news is you don't have to remove as much color as you would if you were picking a lighter color. Now, there is a reason your regrowth turned red and not the Dark Natural Brown you say you put on your hair....are you sure it was dark natural brown? Did you look on the box for an expiration date?

Rule of thumb is color does not remove color so if you are black a dark brown will only make the black darker not lighter but it should have made your root a dark brown!

Ok So .....you need to find a Sally Beauty Supply Store and ask to be shown the color removers they offer the public. Read it well to see if you need anything from there to mix it with...(20 vol. develpoer? Water?) Read It. You will not want to leave this remover on as long as someone who wants to go lighter.

While you are there get the 20 vol. developer and pick out a Beautiful Brown you would like to see your hair as....Beautiful Browns are Clairol and all Clairol colors are = parts developer to color...... hence 2 oz. color 2 oz. developer.....grab a color bottle while you are there too! Go home and have fun.

The best thing to do would be to grow it out or wait a long time and then have it dyed in a professional salon which is what I did, I had a similar situation like yours and since I was pregnant I abstained from dying my hair for 9 months went back afterwards got it done and they were able to lighten it. So you may have to wait a while because I wouldnt recommend bleaching it at all.

My hair is just like yours. I use herbal essenses I think its called dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner. It is in a pink and green bottle. I also have the conair wet to straight. Foundation: no matter what you do, get the one that matches your skin tone!!! Have someone to go with you to help you out. You could even ask a woman in the same Ilse as you.

Mascara: I use Maybelline Lash Stylist. The brush is amazing!!

Eye liner: If you have light eyes then go with a black/brown.

I have really curly medium length hair, too. When I get out of the shower and it's detangled, I put in a leave in conditioner (I like Bumble and Bumble tonic) and then work a little bit of silicone in (Laminates Drops), and then towel dry it. Then I style it with Garnier Fructis Soft Curl Pomade and let it air dry. As for makeup - I'm in love with MAC makeup and I know that a great eyeshadow that looks good on just about everyone is MAC Amber Lights so if you put some of that eyeshadow on with a little bit of liner and some mascara, you're golden. You probably don't need foundation or anything, so maybe some bronzer or high lighter and some lipgloss? Good luck!

I wouldn't bother. I have curly hair also and it would just make sense to me that putting chemicals on frizzy hair would make it way worse. I use a flat iron- hot tools brand- which works wonders. it takes maybe 10-15 minutes to get my hair straight after washing it, but it works so well. you can get one for about $40 at trade secret or ulta beauty stores. remember curly is beautiful and unique but i know it is fun to change it up!

I have the same problem. After years of getting (straightener perms) my hair became very damaged. Now I use a flat iron my hairdresser ordered for me. You need to take each strand your getting ready to iron and spray first with Matrix Vavoom Gold Heat, iron in volume. IT'S THE BEST!!! Gives my hair a wonderful shine. The transformation is AMAZING!!! Make sure you get a good flat iron they can be pricey but worth it. The cheaper ones like at Sally's or any department store won't do.

I also use a very good conditioning balm that I usually leave in overnight or for a few hours by BIOLAGE "Nourishes and repairs dry. stressed hair" I use it about every 4 days. I also give my hair a break every week or two. I just wash it, air dry and put in a ponytail if I'm just hanging around the house. Also, if you don't have oily hair? once you flat iron you don't need to wash it but every 2 day's. That's another way to give your hair some relief from the heat. ( It keeps it's straight form even sleeping on it) GOOD LUCK!!!!

I agree. I definately wouldn't get your hair chemically straightened. You hair will be dead after the process. As for straighteners, I think Chi is the best and well worth what you pay. When I don't want to straighten my hair, I will use the blow dryer and a round brush with a metal core that heats up. I start at the bottom and blow dry it in three sections. After doing this a few weeks, I was able to train my hair to style this way, but I could go back to curly anytime. Hope this helps!

red dyes tend to fade fast, so i would wash it w/a clarifying shampoo for a few days, then proceed to dye it back to brown

As with any hair dying disasters. It's a probably a good idea to go to a specialist e.g. your hairdresser. They could probably fix it, or if you don't want to shell out for a professional hair dying session, your hairdresser should be able to recommend the right product for you without turning your hair weird.

Honestly I would go to the salan and they will probably eliminate it... I only suggest that because it will save you in the long run.. I did something similar ... dyed my hair looked horrible... tried redying it and it came out greenish....

This depend on your level of patience. If you panic and start reapplying every color you can, nothing will work and you will strip your hair. Green also comes to mind. Just live with it through a few weeks of washing and then you can apply the color you want. The washings are the key. And patience.

OK depends on what home hair color you did, I would set up a corrective color consultation with a salon who has a master colorist on hand the consultation is free and you and the colorist can determine what the best plan of action would be for your hairs current condition . I would strongly recommend not doing any more color to your hair until then.

Color will not remove another color, so "dyeing" it again will do no good. Good news is, the burgundy contains red color pigments which fade at a faster rate.

If you truly hate the color, seek the advice of a licensed salon professional. You can do more damage trying to fix this on your own and cost yourself mega bucks to have a pro fix your mistakes later.

You can try a product from Sally Beauty Supply, Salon Care Gentle Color Remover (abt $12). This is a two bottle product that contains no peroxide or bleach. It is designed to remover the artificail oxidized (permanent, demi permanent) color and not alter your natural color. If the color you applied used a developer (peroxide), this product will remove that and leave your hair damage free and without the burgundy. It may take multiple applications as it removes the artificial pigments slowly and you may need a few kits if you have longer hair.

In the end, seeking the advice of a licensed salon pro is the best cure. They are licensed, educated and all they do is hair. Often, a stylist will give you a complimentary consultation so you can anticipate what you're in for as far as time and money.

There is a product you can get from walmart or cvs what have you that will take out any dye. My sister used it on her hair and it went to a neutral brown color then she made it the color she wanted. I can't think of what it is called right now though.

I find guys who color their hair a bit queer or metro, even if theyre not it just seems that way to me. But I've had friends who FLIP over guys with highlighted hair, so I guess it varies. Also, blonde hair with lighter blonde highlightes can look quite good. If you think you'd like the look, go for it. I am 42 years old and started going gray at age 17 so I've been coloring my hair for at better part of 25 years. I have to touch up the roots every 3 weeks as my hair grows very fast . I would say that I am about less than 20% gray in the back, perhaps as much as 80% or more on the sides and top. Right now, my hair is slightly shorter than shoulder length and is a dark chocolate brown. I do not wish to cut my hair as I'm trying to grow it out past my shoulder. omg! i have the same exact problem!! Exact hair condition! whut i reccomend , this works so INCREDIBLY well, is thatu cut it above your hair sort of shoulder length..if its already like that then keep it!! Layers minimise poofiness, DO NOT GET BANGS! u will regret it, i know i did. they get all curlery and weird. But anyways, u cut your hair that short. and then, this is an important detail u must follow.. u go to a beauty supplies store and get curl defining gel. follow the instructuons on the bottle and apply everytime after shower. It doesnt ruin your hair at ALL, u have amazingly beautiful curls, and ur hair doesnt turn into an afro, even when it gets in contact with moisture!!

Depends if you have thick or thinner hair. Mine is thick and was your style. I got it cut a couple weeks ago and love it. Underneath they cut it shorter so that I have automatic volume through the crown. It was layered and around my neck was cut pretty short, abt. 3". My bangs are shorter but are side swept. The sides are a bit longer and blend in great w/my bangs. Good luck!

I'm going to assume you are a stylist in which case I'm wondering why you are asking this question. V-Light is a lightner and it can be mixed to different strengths depending on how light you want to go. However, you won't get a nice shade of blonde just by using the v-light. You'll have to use the v-light to lift your hair to the level you want say a level 6-7. Once you wash that off you will be a nice shade of orange or gold. At that point you apply the blonde shade most likely with an ash base to tone it. You could use v-light alone for just hi-lighting without having to tone, but not all over color-it just won't give you a nice shade all on it's own. Hope that helped

those colors sound fine, but keep in mind that some colors do look like food is stuck on your teeth. Purple and blue shouldn't have that problem though. I always got silver ones.

in my opinion, i think it looks better w/o 2 colors, unless one color's on the top, and one's on the bottom. i like purple a lot. and try not to choose light colors because they turn yellow.

I had clear ones myself, but they change the little bands every month or so it don't really matter. Start with purple and blue if you want, then change next time.You could go through the whole rainbow! Its all going to lead to a great smile : D

I would also take into account your body type. Pixie cut looks really great on a petite body type; a bigger build needs a bit more volume to the hair to look proportionate.

If you want a more natural look, stick with the caramel colored highlights.

If you like the lightness of the ones you've gotten before, you have to have the stylist put in a toner, or you can go out on your own and buy some violet shampoo. That will help control the brassiness.

Another good thing to try, is to go to a place that has the small clip in hair pieces. They should have a few varieties of blondes or other colors, that you can try on, and/or purchase, and take to the salon and have them match it.

Dyed black hair always looks dyed. It's like the dark equvilant of a bleach blond. Basically it looks tacky. Don't do it, unless your a goth or something than your self reasoning is beyond me. But if you want a change try highlight or low lights, just make sure you go to a good stylist, doing it yourself looks cheap. Or you could try a glaze to make it darker (or lighter if you want) it will give you a subtle change that will look good.

I have naturally wavy, medium brown hair that i dyed in march but recently ive had the split ends/dye cut so my hair is in better condition and my natural hair colour is growing threw again. im addicted to straightning it! it doesnt look completely bad when its that just-washed look but i prefer it straight.

My hair isnt very breakable but isnt strong either its not thick or fine just a normal texture when i run my fingers threw it.im pleased its getting healthier. I also use clip extentions which im happy with because they look so real (%26amp; i only bought them for 鎷?) it saves me straightning my fringe some days so i can leave it all wavy.

To get rid of the frizz dont blow dry your hair, or if you do use a diffuser. Also try using John Frieda's Frizz Ease, you can pick it up at Walmart and it does wonders! You can also try using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, that may help tame the frizz. As for hair cuts I suggest not letting it get bulky and overwhelming by getting layers put in and having it thinned out, especially if you have thick hair.

Well, firrst defrizz it. You can find simple great working products. Like dove, floural essneces, and garniera fruit tese. Than try to wear you hair in a french braid, or a claw. (it looks really sophiscated) Maybe also toppse tail. ( you do your hair in a ponytail than slip it back through)

Go for a shorter cut, you will look more contemporary, also ask your hair stylist for , dark golden highlights on the tips of your hair,(lots of guys do this), it will brighten your face, and make you look younger, if you go for the dark gold, not bleachy, it will also look natural, but you will look "fresh", and ladies like a well groomed guy.

Eyes, hair and skin are (unfortunately) not as easy to pick as they are the source of some of the strongest recessives in the human genome.

My mother had thick black wavy hair, my father had thin brwn straight hair and I got thick brown wavy hair.

My mother has blue-green eyes and my father had blue eyes - I have brown (a recessive)

I have fair skin that tans well and my father had fair skin that burned, and my mother had fair skin with lots of moles and freckles (I have almost none).

So recessives within your makeup can skew what you seems to be. At a guess, I'd say with lots of red-haired (european) relatives and with fair skin you are likely a northern european (Scandinavian/Scottish mix). But that is no gurantee.

If you don't want the blonde at all then go ahead and dye it back to brown. As long as it is a true brown and not too much red or orange or any other color, it should come out okay. If you want to keep some of the blonde, you can have your friend do the reverse with the weave cap. Have her pull your hair through and use the brown dye on it and it should take away some of the blonde but still leave you enough for the effect that you wanted. Good luck and hope this helps.
