Yeah, sun in usually comes out pretty blonde. Just don't use too much and spray it evenly. Lemon juice only slightly alters your color by making it lighter.

I have lighter brown hair, and when I used sun in, it worked just fine and looked completely natural.

No it wont turn your hair orange. Use a hot blowdryer to maximize the effect of the sun-in. Here's a little secret, sun-in is just hydrogen peroxide, like the stuff in the brown bottle. It works the same way, but you have to use the heat of a blow dryer. Sun-in uses the heat of the sun for the same effect.

my friend did that and it didnt turn orange i would say more like an auburnish color

and they looked like highlights and no big deal

FYI for the future before you do this you should know I would not advise you to put any chemical on your hair if you put Sun In on it. It could melt off. I know this by experience. Depends on how dark you hair is as to what color it will make it but it is bad news. Just thought you might like to know.
