will the fact that i dyed my hair red affect the color that the blonde turns out? will it look orangey? will it look orangey if i use a cooler shade?

For all of you hair color junkies- listen up. You can not lift out artificial hair color with other hair color. You must use a lightener. Your roots will lift and that is about it. Please seek a professional. Going from any red tone to an ash tone is tricky. This is a difficult job that should be done with someone with experience. Even if you choose to dump a darker brown over it you are not going to have a cool tone. You will have "mud", crappy brown.

don't use an ash color, it will have a green tint. go to a salon ask them what your best color blonde will be and have them do it. it will look brassy which is the same as orange.

Color won't lift color so you'll have to bleach it first then deposit the desired color.

don't know how long ago you colored your hair the first time. you have to wait 6 weeks between colors.

I think you shoukd go to the solon this time.

I did that when I was younger and everytime I colored my hair it never came out the way I wanted. too many colors in too short of time. now is the time to spend the money and gp to a solon and do it right.

If enough time has lapsed between dyes then youll be fine. But do a patch test first, to ensure you get the right color. You may also need a lightner to strip the red before coloring your hair ash blonde.

OMG don't. a friend of mine in high school did that and she had green tinted hair it was awfull! I would go to a salon and have them do it, so that it looks good, they might strip it or have another shade that may work with what color you have that won't turn your head green.
