I colored my hair from medium blonde to what i thought was a brown with red tones, but my hair is ti

it's only tinted green from the middle down cuz two summers ago i bleached it -like an idiot- too much so when i colored it the hair that was damaged from then is now tinted...

will it eventually fade??

should i dye it a warm brown to put the red back into it... if it'll fade with time i dont want to dye it though

Did you use a color with the name "ash" in it? Sometimes they call it "natural" brown. The ash just seems to put some green in the hair if it's ever been bleached or lightened before (speaking from personal experience). If you can at all, go to a professional and have them correct it. I never had any luck with the green fading, but maybe you will. If you are going to dye it, try to give it at least a week in between. Good luck.

Will not fade but as your hair grows longer the color will go down too.

don't dye it.

The more you dye it in close periods of time, the more damaged your hair will get. All i can say is go to a salon and have them take a look at it and then see what they can do and they can probably put a toner in it.

Most brown colors are green based. You should never color your hair from blonde to brown as you can certainly get a green shade. You need to go to a salon and get a color correction. I would NOT recommend putting brown on it again like you are suggesting as it probably won't help and/or make it worse and it will damage your hair even more. You need to go have a professional do it before you jack up your head even worse.

don't mess with it just let it fade out or your hair will fall out controlling. Just wait about 3 weeks and try to dye it a dark color before you go light again

the only solution is to permanently get rid of the bleached part is to keep growing the hair out. eventually your hair will return to normal, for now, just dye it

you might have chorline in your water or your water may be hard..

go to a salon that carrys matrix hair color and ask them to do a color correction on it.

when they re-color your hair it will look 10 times better!!

promise

same thing happened to me

see a professional hair colorist for color correction... it may be expensive, but its well worth the money to protect your hair from further and/or extensive damage

remember... if you keep having to buy dye to re-color it, you might as well use that money for a much more reliable fix!

leave it. your gona end up making it wotrser and worser wait for your hair to grow back or just wait a while the dye it your normal color leave it alone for awhile.maybe karma will leave you alone. after that do what ever

Don't dye your own hair....obviously you just learned the secrete lesson. It has something to do with "ash" colors, but I think I heard Prell take green out...You need to go see a hair dressed right away. They don't charge much to do a solid color...

no it'll stay or get worse get it perfessionally done and if you did get it perfessionally done go show them and they should be able to fix it for free.

It WILL NOT FADE!!!! The only color that will cut the ash/green is something the golden family, like a golden brown!! Actually, like a medium golden brown. Us beauticians, know that the word golden in hair color means RED and if you know anything about a color wheel, you will know that red is directly across from green on wheel, and these 2 colors will cancel one another which will bring your hair to desired shade!!

I'm a hairstylist and I would say go to your stylist and let them fix it. But, if you really want to fix it yourself...

First off, make sure that your hair can handle another color. Is it brittle? Breaking? Dry? Feel like wet pasta noodles and stick together when wet? If so, go to Sally's and pick upi a PROTEIN treatment. Make sure it is NOT just a moisturizing treatment. You need more than moisture. They come in single packs and usually run around a dollar. Follow the directions on the back of the pack, then proceed to another color...you will probably not be able to get rid of the green without a corrective coloring.

To do your corrective color...

While your at Sally's, go ahead and pick up a "protein filler" either in a neutral or red. This is something you put on your hair before you put the color on. Follow the directions on the bottle. Then get either a natural or neutral brown color (I recommend the ION cream color) that is at least the same or one level darker than the shade you used the last time. (You could also get an auburn color if you still want the red tint.) After you have followed the instructions on the filler bottle, mix the color with equal parts 20 Volume developer. (They sale that too.) Apply all over your hair and let process 20-30 minutes. (It says on the box how long they recommend to process.) You should get a "normal" color with no trace of green. If you go to a stylist and get this done, it could be upwards of $80. Good luck and if you need any more advice, feel free to send me an email!!
