Dying medium brown hair (not dyed) light brown.?

I have dark brown hair (dyed) but am growing it out. It will be grown out in a few weeks since I have short hair. My natural hair color is brown. Can I dye this a light brown? How light of a color can I dye my hair with out it becoming orange?

when dyeing your hair lighter, you want to use an ash/green or blue/purple based dye to counteract the orange, you just pick out the color that you want with the right base color, then use a 30 vol developer. remember never use a box dye, buy a real dye from a beauty supply store, such as sally beauty.

you can dye it light brown, it will not turn orange unless you bleach your hair.
